Each moment
A poem
It lingers
Its intensity
Doesn't diminish

Each moment
Touching deeper
Penetrating
Reaching My soul

Each moment
Eternal
Flowing
Purifying

Each moment
Golden
Joyous
Lifting
Returning
Again and again

Each moment
A moment of you
Forever in me

Thoughts of You

Just thoughts
Of you and me
I fly higher, higher
Into the sky

The ground gradually
Fading away
Into a past
Of no existence

Just the clouds
The clear, blue sky
Within my reach
The universe
Calling me

A moment of
No present, no past
No future
Just this moment
Alone with you

Thoughts of you
Carry me
To a space
Limitless
No boundaries
Into forever

Souls

A soul
Searching
Meandering
Through pristine valleys

Swimming
In swift rivers

Floating
On clouds over hills

Blowing
With gentle winds

Finding
One of its kind

Resting
A while to mingle

Desire
To kindle a spark
To light up one's life

Travelling
Into another realm

Finding
A soul to journey with
In another dimension

Kavita Singhal is a Poet, Social Worker and an Educationist. She graduated in English Literature from Indraprastha College, Delhi University. Kavita's book 'Amidst the Pines - A Memoir of My Boarding School Days' and her book of poems 'Each Moment a Poem' have been published by Authorspress. She has participated in and also organized several poetry events at the India International Centre, at embassies and other venues. Kavita Singhal has been a delegate at the South Asian Literature Festivals held in New Delhi as well at the International Literature Festival held in Kathmandu, Nepal. Her poems have been published in the Seventh Quarry, Wales and the Journal of The Poetry Society of India. Her poems have also been broadcast on All India Radio.
